IMPORTANT

Always push the stand-offs fully into the spine fittings first (step 4 below) BEFORE pushing into the spreader fittings (step 5). Otherwise there is a danger of the stand-off slipping and tearing a hole in the sail while trying to force it into the spine fitting under tension. Similarly, when dissassembling the kite, always remove the stand-offs from the spreader fittings first (step 5), and then remove them from the spine fittings (step 4).
